Promises kept...
+" The kings heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases."
Proverbs 21:1NLT
"The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." Proverbs 21:1 KJV
I remember years ago, my daughter and I were talking during a bible study at her home. She was concerned about her husbands salvation. She said even after all theses years, he seemed to have no interest in reading the Bible.
I told her about this verse, and we prayed this verse, and we knew of GODS PROMISES in his word, to believers. We reminded the Lord about it, and that we knew He would answer our prayer IF it was his will. We knew he WOULD answer because it is NOT his will that anyone should perish
( 2Peter 3:9, "...not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance..." ) And also that if we prayed this, his word would not return void, but accomplish that what God pleases, and "it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah55:11)
My son-inlaws heart needed to be turned in a different direction regarding his desire to read, the Bible and to know God.
Not too long after that, maybe a few months, her husband found great interest in Gods Word due to a few Bible questions his teenage daughter asked him. It was some heavy questions about hell and satan and" is this really true?" He didn't know what to tell her. And because he didn't want to dismiss it, he became deeply concerned about it, and didn't want to give her the wrong answers. And so he began reading and studying the Bible to give her the correct answer. In the process, he became a very strong believer . God has turned his heart like a river, where ever God pleases.
To this day, he is an avid Bible reader. God used my son-inlaws love for his daughter to bring him to the place he needed to be.
God kept his promise and will always keep all of them We can always count on Him to do so...💕
